Our fourth and final presentation of the Special Projects features a new group led by guitarist Alex Goodman: the Alex Goodman Chamber Quintet. In preparation for an upcoming recording, the Quintet will perform original compositions as well as arrangements of classical pieces by composers such as Mozart, Scott Joplin and Schubert. Alex will be joined by Michael Davidson (vibraphone), Andrew Downing (cello), Felicity Williams (vocals) and special guest Rogerio Boccato (percussion).

StreetARToronto

Two of Toronto's top aerosol artists, Elicser and Mediah, who have been mentoring local area high school students as part of the Festival's Groove & Graffiti program (now in it's 11th year), have been commissioned to create works of art for some of the city's underpasses.

StreetARToronto, or StART, aims to develop, support, promote and increase awareness of street art and its indispensable role in adding beauty and character to neighbourhoods across Toronto. The Underpass Program will strive to make our city's underpasses safe, walkable and beautiful.
